Pair of easy-chairs model GE-240 designed by Hans Wegner for Getama in 1955 – Denmark<\/p>\n
This very popular chair was named “Cigar chair ” for the particular shape of the armrests.<\/p>\n
The structure takes its cue from the architect’s previous design, the Sawbuck chair (1951 ) , but evolves with an organic shape but a little more linear and with the seat and back cushions movable , no longer fixed .<\/p>\n
These chairs have a dark oiled solid oak frame enjoy a perfect patina and the cushions are upholstered in the original fabric.<\/p>\n
It is rare to find these models in such a state of maintenance and authenticity , and also in pairs.<\/p>\n
