When several shelves are combined, they create a cohesive, organic expression with soft, curved lines, adding both function and decoration to any space. The Huls\u00f8 shelf is available in FSC\u00ae-certified oak or solid walnut and can be wall-mounted individually, in rows or in free-standing compositions.<\/p>\n
Although Finn Juhl is best known for his sculpture furniture, his talent was not limited to this area. Trained as an architect, he excelled in creating magnificent exhibitions and holistic interiors. A significant example is his iconic work for the Trusteeship Council Chamber at the United Nations Headquarters in New York in 1952.<\/p>\n
It was this holistic approach that led Finn Juhl to design the bookshelf that House of Finn Juhl called Huls\u00f8. During a review of the drawing archive, a wave-shaped shelf with beautiful detailing was discovered, initially part of an interior design for Magister W. Andersen’s ‘winter garden’ in Huls\u00f8 Ege, Rungsted, Denmark.<\/p>\n
