AX Armchairs – P. Hvidt & O. Molgaard – Code 1164

This wooden seat, with sinuous and elegant lines, represents a true icon of Danish design of the 20th century.
Designed by the architects Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard in the 1950s.
This model will be significant for industrial design.
The architects are inspired by the work of the American architects C. & R. Eames, thus using the curved wood in the seat and back. This technique was invented by the Danish company Fritz Hansen.
This chair allowed the large scale production and the simple shipment of the product.
This session has been restored and is now in excellent condition.
