Borge Mogensen – Teak table with two extensions – Code 1198 –

This rare teak dining table was designed by Børge Mogensen for Søborg Møbelfabrik. Mogensen rarely uses steel as a material for his designs, but in this case he creates two opening arms that serve as supports for the side extensions. The combination of teak and steel gives a striking appearance and is reminiscent of the works of Jacobsen and Wegner. The table has slightly extended solid teak legs, giving it a strong personality. When both extensions are extended, using the simple but ingenious swivel supports, there is enough room for eight people at the table. The side extension leaves can easily be removed, just by lifting them up, they disengage from the table. This table would make a unique focal point for any modern dining environment.
