Series 7 Arne Jacobsen – Cod. 901

Mod. “Series 7” designed by architect Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen, Denmark.
The shell is steam folded in a single piece consisting of 9 layers of veneer. This chair is a further evolution of the Ant chair. It is stackable.
The stackable four-legged chair can be seen as the culmination of the use of the curved wood technique.
A technique brought to perfection during the 1920s and 1930s by Søren C. Hansen, grandson of the founder, Fritz Hansen. Arne Jacobsen has exploited the possibilities of this technique to perfection, giving life to the iconic shape of the chair. Series 7 represents the chair of the Fritz Hansen collection with the widest range of applications. This version is in teak with black painted iron legs.
