Shaker table by Borge Mogensen – Cod. 1516

Shaker-table series dining table designed by Borge Mogensen.
With perfect proportions, balance and functionality, the shaker table series designed by the Danish architect, is part of the timeless classics of design history.
The characteristic lines make these models, typical of the late 1940s, and early 1950s, unmistakable.
The perfect proportions, an unmistakable sign of the architect, as well as restoring aesthetic balance, have a functional value. In fact, almost all shaker models have a generous size in width ( 90 cm.), so that the short side of the table can be comfortably utilized ( in case the chair is not particularly bulky, the table can accommodate up to two chairs in place of the head of the table).

Borge Mogensen collaborated alongside Kaare Klint, with whom he developed a particular study of American shaker furniture, typical of the late 1800s.

This table is made of solid oak and has an extension leaf.
It is in mint condition
