“Side chairs” by Harry Bertoia – Cod. 1280

Chairs designed in 1952 by Harry Bertoia for Knoll.
Despite their essential structure and the material in which they are made ( lattice iron ) , they are very comfortable and enveloping seats.
The proportions, again, contribute to give maximum harmony and balance to the object.
This was a very prosperous period for Design . Several architects in fact experimented with what could be obtained from previously unused materials to make certain everyday objects. Thus were born significant icons and ” cult” objects that would mark the landscape of modern design forever.

Also available from the same series are N 2 arm-chairs mod. “DIAMOND” .
Vintage originals – we have had the iron treatment thoroughly restored, by first two coats of sandblasting and then powder coating, for optimal restoration .
They still show signs of time, evidence of their originality.
