Wastberg lantern – No. 4 – John Pawson – Code 1204

Holocene No. 4: John Pawson
Pawson’s design for Holocene takes the concept of the oil lantern and meticulously reduces it to its essence in terms of function, shape and palette, like a fire container, with the possibility of being moved or suspended by the handle. With a profile similar to a crucible, the lantern is made of stainless steel and aluminum, with opaque external surfaces and a polished internal core, to reflect and amplify the flame. The piece is designed for indoor and outdoor use and sized to feel comfortable in a wide range of applications, individually or in groups, on the dining table or on a window sill, standing on the floor or hanging on a wall.
